Filip – Prague, Czech Republic

Speaks: Czech, English, Russian

Is practicing: Russian, English

Work: Filip runs Kavárna Martin, a coffeeshop which employs people with an intellectual or multiple disability.

Why attend SpeakEasy: The great thing about SpeakEasy is that you can just start a conversation with anyone – there is no need to be shy. There are more initiatives like this elsewhere, in cities all around the world and the idea is cool. Here it works really well. This is his second visit in a year.

Tips on how to learn a language: Start with books – words and grammar. You will need a motivation to learn: like traveling, where you will need to use the language you are learning. Watch YouTube videos online, or use duolingo.

Personal: Filip blogs about travelling, books, films, and more on his Facebook page Just a Dreamer.
