Speaks: English, French, sometimes visits the Swedish table as he did an exchange in Sweden five years ago.
Is practicing: French and some Swedish words
Work: Studied Film and Television in the USA and has been working in Prague for two years: as an English teacher for one year, and one year at Radio Free Europe in sound production. Todd is going back the USA to work in film.
Why attend SpeakEasy: Good place to meet locals and make new friends. The Czechs are quite shy, but here people are like-minded: they come to speak, which makes it easier to connect.
Tips on how to learn a language: Todd has two tips: watch films that you already know with subtitles in the language you want to learn (If you are American and are learning French, watch an American movie that you have already seen, with French subtitles). Netflix features a lot of subtitle options. Another good way to learn is to make friends among the locals.
Personal: Todd is working on a pilot for a travel series, is interested in music, as well as film, and used to play in a band (guitar and vocals). His career plan involves making a range of movies, with a specific interest in treasure hunting movies (like Indiana Jones).
